On this site is the current schedule of courses and the school registration form. The total cost of the course is $149.00. Classroom attendance is required by the State of Florida. Only 8 classroom hours of absence are permitted, and only for illness of the student or a family member. We recommend that you do not register for a course if you expect to be absent.
To enter the real estate profession you must obtain a license from the Florida Real Estate Commission. This can be achieved by meeting the following criteria:
- You must be 18 years of age.
- You must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- You must have successfully completed a State required education course. This course may be obtained by applying to Watson School of Real Estate. Upon successful completion of this course, which consists of 63 classroom hours, Watson School of Real Estate will provide you with a passing certificate and an application for the State examination. (8 hours absence is permitted-due to student or family illness ONLY)
- Attach all required documents to your completed state application, include a check for your application fee and send to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Once your application is processed the state will notify you with directions for scheduling your exam. The state exam is currently being administered directly by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation at various sites, including one in the Orlando area.
